Frequently Asked Questions

You might not even be sure who you want to work with just yet!  No worries — below I share a bit more about the behind-the-scenes logistics of my practice to help you decide if I'm the best therapist for you.  If you have a question that isn't answered below, feel free to reach out for a virtual consultation.  I'll be happy to provide any additional information you need to feel confident about your decision.

You're ready to start therapy, but aren't sure what to expect.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about what to expect in therapy:

Yes!

Open therapy slots are currently available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.

Therapy is $200 per 45-minute session.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of therapy over time.

All major credit cards are accepted through my secure client portal. You will have the option to enroll in AutoPay, which will allow my client portal to securely store your credit card information for automatic payment following each session.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, many insurance companies offer partial reimbursement for my services. Click here to learn how to access your benefits to help pay for therapy.

I am a member of Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, which connects clients in financial need to therapists (like myself) who offer therapy at a reduced rate of $30-$60/session.  If you would like to work together but cannot afford my full fee, I invite you to check my current availability for a reduced rate here.  To become a client with Open Path, register here.

We'll meet once per week every week until you reach your goal(s) for therapy.  When we start working together, we'll agree on a day and time for your weekly sessions.

In your first session, we'll have a conversation about your goal(s) for therapy.  We'll get really specific about how we'll measure the change you're hoping for.  This will help us stay focused and accountable during our work together.  We'll check in regularly to make sure you're making progress and make any adjustments as needed.

While the exact timeline differs for everyone, my intention as your therapist is to work myself out of a job (therapy won’t last forever). Once you've met your therapy goal(s), we’ll discuss your readiness to graduate from treatment.  If you know that you would like to work within a specific timeframe, we can tailor your treatment plan accordingly.
